¡@¡@In 1979, with NT $450,000.00, Mr. Tao Shen Chen, the founder of CAN TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., had started a small tooling shop named Sheng Ya (CAN), which was located in Hsin Chuang, Taipei. This small shop only had 3 employees when it was first started, which included Mr. Chen himself. It was a gloomy year for him and the company since there was no stable business.
¡@¡@In 1980, Mr. Chen had decided to move his shop to Chung Li, Taoyuan for more business opportunities. In the same year, the shop had started making tooling for various companies like Timex, TRW, DELTA.

¡@¡@In 1984, Mr. Chen founded a component plastic injection company named Precision Great Plastic Co. Ltd., and moved his company into a new built shop which was located right across the entrance of Chung Li Industrial Zone. While moving into a new place, he decided to purchase three ARBUG, Germen made plastic injection machines to produce high quality plastic components to many well known companies by using high precision tooling that his shop had made. Below is a list of detail to show what PGP had accomplished in following three years.
PGP had manufactured the mold for digital watch plastic casing to Mr. Chen Ming He.
PGP had developed IC socket tooling and motherboard slot tooling for Cai Dian, ARC, Wei Na.
PGP had developed the bobbin tooling for TATUNG & SAMPO. Meanwhile, PGP also had developed ALPS plastic key switch tooling and had produced the plastic components to Forward.
PGP provided the stereo face plate to Panasonic.
PGP provided deflection yoke plastic casing to CPT.
PGP had developed and produced the deflection yoke plastic casing to PHILPS.
PGP had also developed and produced various appliance face plate to TECO. Meanwhile, PGP had developed and produced the top and bottom casing for small calculator to KINPO.
With in three years, PGP had purchased up to 12 ARBUG plastic injection machines, SODICK wire cutting machine, and HURON CNC. Besides large investment in various equipments, the founder of PGP also purchased a piece of land in Chung Li Industrial Zone, which was nearly 2,800 square meters. It took nearly one year to finish building the factory, and the factory area was nearly 5,000 square meters. Following the factory completion, PGP had moved into the new factory, and increased manpower, equipments continuously. By then, PGP had 30 people in tooling department and 50 people in plastic injection department. After moving into a new place, PGP had continuously developed and produced more high quality components:
PGP had developed and produced plastic axle for printer to Kui Mao.
PGP also had developed and produced the Mechanical Key Switch to ACER (BENQ DARFON).
PGP had developed and produced the pen rack for automatic graphic drawing machine to Quan Nao .
PGP had developed and produced plastic components for charger cradle to ERICSSON.
PGP had developed and produced telephone casing for MOBITAI.
PGP had developed and produced camera plastic components to CANON.
PGP had developed and produced VCR plastic face plate and various inner VCR plastic components to SONY.
PGP had developed and produced vehicle plastic IC packaging casing for MOTORLA.
PGP had developed and produced plastic face plate to WANG.
¡@¡@In 1989, Taiwan was facing labor shortage. Many Taiwanese public companies had started building factories in South East Asia, and Acer was one of them. Acer also had invited all its suppliers to invest in Malaysia. Mr. Chen went to Malaysia with Acer supplier investigation group, and realized that Malaysia also had the potential labor shortage problem that Taiwanese companies were facing at the time. Meanwhile, he also went to China to investigate possible investment opportunities. Mr. Chen and his colleagues had quickly realized that PGP needs to transform into product manufacturing. In same year, PGP had started to develop and manufactured PGP's first computer mechanical keyboard, and had also received various patents for stainless spring mechanical switch.
¡@¡@Later on, Sheng Ya (CAN) had involved in NOTEBOOK development project that was hosted by ITRI. However, the development quickly came to an end since the cost was much higher than the marketing price. Meanwhile, Sheng Ya (CAN) had re-joined with PGP as one company.
¡@¡@In 1993, Sheng Ya (CAN) had created its first branch office in the United States, and named itself as Syncan. Syncan was renamed as CAN TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd. after three years. Many years of experience in computer accessories manufacturing, CAN had become a more mature manufacture in product assembly.
¡@¡@In 1996, CAN had developed and manufactured the computer gaming racing steering wheel/joystick for SC&T. CAN was one of the earliest manufacture that was capable in manufacturing computer entertainment products.
¡@¡@In 1997, due to labor charge competition, Mr. Chen founded a factory in Zhuhai Nanping, China, which was named President
Computer Technology Co., Ltd. However, the factory was not running very well, and had lost over NT 35,000,000.00 within 3 years.
¡@¡@In 2000, Mr. Chen had decided to close the manufacture in Taiwan, and to focus more on product manufacturing in China. The factory in Taiwan was closed, and rent to others. What was left in Taiwan was the headquarter office, which was responsible for product design and tooling development. After half a year of hard work, the factory in China had finally started making a little profit. Meanwhile, President Computer had started to manufacture mechanical keyboard for TRUST. Later on, President also had started to manufacture rubber membrane keyboard for Logitech, and A4. Besides wired keyboard, President computer had also started to manufacture wireless keyboard for Chic.
¡@¡@In year 2002, President Computer had moved to Zhuhai Xinqing Science & Technology Industrial Park. Meanwhile, Mr. Chen
purchased a piece of land in Xinqing Science & Technology Industrial Park, which was nearly 90,000 square meters. While building a new factory, President Computer had manufactured mid-low range keyboard or mouse for BenQ Darfon, Liteon, and Mitsumi. The new factory had finally come to a completion in year 2005. The factory combined with dormitory was nearly 35,000 square meters. In same year, the US branch office was closed.
¡@¡@In year 2006, President Computer has started manufacturing various computer accessories for Toshiba.
